NCS has developed a unique service to help ensure the environment for your collections is the best it can be.  This starts with comprehensive year-round monitoring, providing data-loggers, interpretation of readings and advice on improvements, all for as little as £3 per week.

Project funding bids

If you need grant funding for a conservation-related project (including digitisation or building improvements) NCS can help in project design and applications.  Director Chris Woods is a registered HLF project adviser with many years of experience in applying for and securing grants, large and small.

Preparing for Archives Accreditation

Conservation (or "Collection Care") is an essential element of the new Archives Accreditation.  NCS has developed a service aimed at helping you prepare for Accreditation by identifying and pulling together the documentation you will need to show that you meet the standards.

On-site conservation projects

NCS has a team of qualified and dedicated conservators ready to design and carry out conservation projects on-site in your institution at very low cost.  Projects include cleaning, box production and packaging, minor repairs, surveys and monitoring programmes.  All project charges are discounted for NCS members.
